We have already installed Citrix Delivery Controller and published Windows 2012 shared desktop. Right now we will publish desktop from Windows 2008 Server.
For Windows 2012 (in previous post) we have 3 steps. In this one, I will omit the first one – it’s almost the same as it was for 2012 server.
Machine Catalog
Desktop publishing
In this case we will publish 2 additional applications – Notepad and Paint.
In console we can see, out two Delivery Groups. And we still 2 connection for “Desktop 2012” – to shared desktop and to notepad. So let’s make another one.
In StoreFront we can we new Windows 2008 desktop.
And in Apps tab we have two new applications (I have changed name of each published notepad – to show, that there come from two different desktops).
So start “Desktop 2008″…
… and Paint.
In Citrix Studio console we can see all the sessions. We have almost the same information as it was in Delivery Services Console in XenApp 6.5
Because I want to show how to publish each type of desktop in next post I will show how to make connection to Windows 7 desktop.
